How TraduzRivera collects, uses, and protects personal data — in plain language.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Who we are

TraduzRivera (Agência Rivera) is a Brazilian editorial services provider for academic and scientific publication. For any privacy matter, contact us at contato@traduzrivera.com.br — this is also the channel for exercising the rights described below. This policy is governed by the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018).

What data we collect

Quote and contact forms: name, e-mail address, optional WhatsApp number, your message, and any files you choose to attach. Client area: username and the certificates linked to your account. Direct channels: whatever you send us by e-mail or WhatsApp.

We do not collect payment data through this website; payment arrangements are made individually with each client.

Manuscripts and attached files

Files you send for assessment or as part of a contracted service are treated as confidential. They are used exclusively for the assessment and the service itself, are stored with non-guessable names, and are never shared outside the editorial team working on your project — whether or not you accept the quote.

Cookies

This website does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies, and it does not use geolocation. Your language preference lives in the address (URL) itself. The only cookies present are the technical session cookies WordPress requires for the client-area login.

Academic outreach

We occasionally contact researchers whose professional data — name, institutional affiliation, publications, and publicly listed academic e-mail — is openly available in public sources such as journal websites, open bibliographic databases, and institutional catalogs. The legal basis is legitimate interest in offering professional editorial services (LGPD, art. 7, IX).

Every such message identifies the public source of the data and offers permanent removal: reply with the subject DESCADASTRAR (unsubscribe) and your contact is placed on a permanent suppression list, no questions asked.

Legal bases

We process personal data based on: preliminary procedures and performance of contract (quotes and contracted services); legitimate interest (professional outreach and service improvement); consent, where applicable; and compliance with legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the service providers strictly necessary to operate: website hosting, transactional e-mail delivery, and messaging platforms (such as WhatsApp) when you choose that channel. Each provider processes data under its own security and privacy commitments.

Retention

Form submissions and attached files are kept for as long as needed to assess and deliver the service, and afterwards only as required by legal or contractual obligations. Suppression-list entries (unsubscribes) are kept permanently, precisely so that we never contact you again.

Your rights

Under article 18 of the LGPD you may, at any time, request: confirmation of processing; access to your data; correction; anonymization or deletion; information about sharing; and revocation of consent. Write to contato@traduzrivera.com.br and we reply within the legal deadlines.

Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures proportional to the data we handle: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to files, non-guessable storage paths, and confidentiality as a working rule of the editorial team.

International transfers

Some providers (hosting and e-mail delivery) may process data outside Brazil. When this happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the LGPD, including contractual clauses and the providers' own privacy programs.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in the website or in legislation. The current version, with its date, is always available on this page.
